Everything you enter — your name, date of birth, expected lifespan, priorities, weekly budget, goals, and progress snapshots — is saved in this browser's local storage on this device. It is not sent to us.

Your theme choice (light or dark) is saved the same way.

Signing in is optional. If you do, we store the following so it can sync across your devices:

• Your email address, used to send sign-in links.
• Your name, date of birth, expected lifespan, sleep estimate, and priorities.
• Your weekly time budget, goals, and progress snapshots.

This data is stored in our own database (PocketBase), on a UK server we rent from Hostinger. Security rules on the database mean each account can only read and change its own data. Sign-in links are sent by email through our email delivery provider. A sign-in token saved in this browser keeps you signed in; it is used for nothing else.

If a sign-in link is never used, the account it would have created is deleted within two days.

If you are signed in, you can ask for an AI-written reflection on the Reflection page. Nothing is sent until you press the button. To write it, we send a summary of your week through our server to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI model. The summary contains:

• Your priorities.
• The weekly hours in each budget category, including the names of any categories you added.
• Your goals, and whether your budget meets them.
• How your budget changed since your last saved snapshot.

It never includes your name, date of birth, email address, or account ID. The reflection that comes back is saved in this browser only. We keep a record of when you asked for each reflection (not what it said) to apply the daily limit, and it is deleted with your account.

• No advertising, and no advertising or analytics cookies.
• No selling or sharing of your data.
• Nothing is sent to an AI service in the background. It only happens when you ask for an AI reflection, and only the summary described above.

The website and our database are hosted by Hostinger; the database is on a server in the UK. Like most hosts, their servers may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to run and protect the service. Our database keeps its own request logs, including IP addresses, for 7 days, to protect accounts and limit abuse.

• This device: Settings → Reset all data removes everything stored in this browser.
• Your account: Account → Delete account and all data permanently removes your account and everything stored with it.

If you send feedback, it arrives as a normal email to contact@500khours.app and is only used to improve the app.
