A time mirror, not another planner
You may have around 500,000 hours left.
Every hour goes somewhere. See where yours are going, whether that matches what matters to you, and one small change worth making next week.
Free · No account needed · Takes about 10 minutes
An example of the app: a weekly time budget, a week alignment score with what is working and what could be better, and one suggested change you can apply in a click.
Most time apps help you fit more in.
This one asks where it’s all going.
500,000 Hours puts your week, your priorities and your remaining years side by side, so you can see the gap and close it a few hours at a time.
See
See the whole picture
Your estimated hours left, the waking hours you actually get to choose, and what this week’s habits add up to across a lifetime.
Test
Test a trade-off before you commit
Move a few hours from one part of your week to another and see what it creates over a year, ten years and a lifetime. When it feels right, apply it to your budget.
Reflect
Reflect, then make one change
A plain-language read on your week: what dominated, what’s already working, where the gap is, and one realistic adjustment. Signed-in users can also ask for an AI-written version.
A full human life may contain around 800,000 hours.
But we don’t start using them with full awareness. Childhood passes. School passes. Work begins. Responsibilities grow. And somewhere along the way, we realise that time is not unlimited.
500,000 Hours helps you see where your time is going, and decide what deserves more of it.

Questions, answered
Is this a calendar or a to-do list?
No. 500,000 Hours doesn’t schedule your days or track tasks. You map a typical week, then use it to see where your time goes, test trade-offs and reflect. Once a week is plenty.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything works without one, and your data stays in your browser. You can sign in with an email link to sync across devices and to use AI reflections.
Where is my data stored?
On your device by default. If you sign in, your profile, budget, goals and snapshots are also saved to your account so they sync. You can delete your account and its data at any time.
What does the AI reflection see?
Only a summary: your priorities, weekly hours per category, goal progress and changes since your last snapshot. Never your name, date of birth or email. It’s optional and only runs when you ask.
How accurate is the 500,000 number?
It’s an estimate from your date of birth and the lifespan you choose. The point isn’t precision, it’s perspective.
Is it free?
Yes. Everything is free during early access, with no ads. Some features may become paid later, but anyone who starts using the app now keeps free access.
Start with ten honest minutes.
No account, no card. Just a clearer view of where your life is going.
